School Art Club with Kathryn Hobden RCA MA Learn, experiment and create with a practising artist and experienced art educator. Give your child the opportunity to explore their creativity with Kathryn Hobden, a professional painter, Royal College of Art graduate and experienced teacher, and Co-Founder of Neweira Gallery. Kathryn trained at the Royal College of Art (1997–1999), where she developed her passion for painting landscape under the tuition of renowned British artist Peter Doig. Her own work combines the precision and craft of photorealism with a painter’s sensitivity to light, colour, space and atmosphere. Her work has been exhibited at prestigious venues including the Walker Art Gallery, where she was selected for John Moores 21, and she has been nominated for the Gilchrist Fisher Award. More recently, her paintings have been showcased at the Greenwich Gallery. But Kathryn brings much more than her experience as an artist. For almost 20 years, she taught art to GCSE and A-Level students across London and the South East, helping young people develop their artistic skills, confidence and ability to express their ideas. Now, through Neweira Gallery, Kathryn brings these two passions together — professional art practice and inspiring the next generation of artists. What will children discover?
