Rebecca Ritchie

Rebecca Ritchie is a still-life painter working in oils from her studio in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. After completing a Foundation Diploma at Maidstone School of Art, she pursued a career in television set design, where she developed a strong understanding of composition, light and atmosphere before returning to painting full-time in 2015.

Her work centres on carefully observed objects and arrangements, exploring the relationship between light, texture and quiet presence. Drawing inspiration from both every day and treasured objects, she creates paintings that balance realism with mood, inviting viewers to pause and look more closely.

Rebecca’s paintings have been selected for numerous prestigious exhibitions, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2025 and 2026), the Society of Women Artists, the Royal West of England Academy, the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition. Her work has received awards including the People’s Choice Award at the Patchings Art Competition and Best Still Life at the Pilgrims Way Art Exhibition.

She is represented in private collections across the UK and internationally.
