Ginny Millard
Ginny is a portrait and figurative artist based in Westerham, Kent. She has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember and, although largely self-taught, she has also had the privilege of studying under some of the country’s leading portrait artists.
Oil paint is her preferred medium. She enjoys creating work with a sense of drama, using vibrant colour and expressive brushstrokes to bring her subjects to life. An instinctive rather than formulaic painter, she approaches each canvas with openness and intuition, ensuring that every piece is individual and distinctive.
Painting for Ginny is a deeply emotional and immersive creative process — one filled with highs and lows, pleasure and pain. Painting is never simply technical; it is an act of emotional exploration.
Many of her works are inspired by her own photography, alongside collaborations with models to develop source material. Ginny has exhibited widely locally and regularly undertakes portrait commissions.
