Painter, Artist Educator and Co-Founder Neweira Gallery.

Kathryn Hobden trained at the Royal College of Art (1997-1999) where she developed her passion for expressing landscape through a creative lens under the tuition of Peter Doig.

Her work blends the precision and craft of the photorealist tradition with a painter’s sensitivity to light, space and atmosphere. She was included in John Moore’s 21 at the Walker Art Gallery, nominated for the Gilchrist Fisher Award and recently has showcased work at the Greenwich Gallery.

Alongside painting, Kathryn was teaching throughout London and Southeast England promoting art and creativity to A-Level and GCSE pupils, developing their confidence, skills, and ability to refine their work.

Kathryn brings over 20 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for art education to Neweira Gallery and the wider community. Through after-school art classes and drawing clubs, she inspires artists of all ages and abilities to develop their technical skills, build creative confidence and explore their individuality, empowering each person to discover and develop their own unique visual voice.
